Trip to Bukit Keluang, Besut

Situated just off the border between Kelantan and Terengganu, Bukit Keluang is a well-known hiking spot among the locals for its spectacular sunrise/sunset view as well as its beach with crystal clear water. Finally I had a chance to visit yesterday without much planning, together with my bunch of friends.

We took off early in the morning at 4.30am, in hope to be able to catch the sunrise. The journey from Kota Bahru to Bukit Keluang took us around 1 hour by driving. Without much delay, except for some surprise my friend threw at me for my birthday, we set out to hike up Bukit Keluang at 5.45am.

The starting of the trail is a fleet of steep staircase, just right in front of the public toilet. The hike was fairly easy I would say, just have to becareful of some spots where it's steep and at certain places, the edge of the hill is just right off the trail. But overall, it was easy and took us around 30 minutes to reach the top.

The views are just incredible, Didn't manage to capture full timelapse video of the sunrise because I didn't have a tripod yet. But I'll surely comeback sometime for it!

As seen above, too bad there's puffs of cloud blocking the sun coming up from the horizon. But nevertheless, the view is breathe taking enough. Eventually the sun rises above the cloud and reflected off the clear, blue water.
Boat buzzing through the sunbeam reflected off the water. The islands seen at the horizon is Pulau Perhentian.

We stayed up there until 8am then we proceed to the beach and had fun playing banana boat and volleyballs. All in all, it's been a while since I last had so much fun, and all was impossible if without my friends :) Really grateful to have them by side.

Ended up real tanned as well. Couldn't remember the last time I was as dark as I am right now 😆😆I think that's all for now, ciao!
